Omg... the king of out of context remarks... you said my words were untrue... I said you could use the 800k as long as you didn't drop below mandated minimum and top up months before renewal...

You then say I'm wrong because you can't touch it for the first 3 months after allocation... however I didn't say when, I said follow guidelines. But i was also speaking to the OP who said he had been told to keep 800k in bank continuously and to show for each of the 90 day reporting periods.

David Broadfoot scam on any given day .. but my discussion on 800k and dipping into it being allowable before topping the balance back up a few months before reapplying was dead right... kinda confused... Is your point that Thailand or Phillipines is better... Or are you saying you love Thailand because the government have made life easier for you here because it's not as busy since the government have scared the tourists away ?🤔🙂

I think they are looking to scam you.. because you are allowed to use the 800k between visa renewals, as long as it is topped up a few months prior to extension... they just want people to come in extra so they can make a problem that a brown enveloped can fix... other offices don't do this for retirement visa

if anyone in power was listening to science a lot would be different... however my thought is there is some self interest involved in many decisions.. in Thailand that does seem to happen... there have been many instances where officials explain the unjustifiable in simple ways with a smile.. and possibly are motivated by brown envelopes... so whether ecologists wake up or not doesn't always matter....self interest and profiteering can simply motivate official people to continue doing the same.. like a bad movie...

I think the people who own mask factories or import them are "well connected" and are part of the gravy train... I think they will find many reasons to continue to need them.. similar to emergency decrees... 🤔
