before covid I rode my bike to Laos, when reentering thailand I was asked where was my visa, then was stamped in and told next time to get a visa, I've never had a problem, I had only entered Thailand once that year visa exempt before going to Laos by bike, I explained we get 2 land crossings per year and this was my first land crossing, however she insisted I needed to get a visa before grunting and stamping my passport
