yes, I worded it badly. I understand that I would need to exit and re-enter, after my non-OA has expired.
What I was questioning, was that the OP appears to have obtained an extension of stay, on his non-O visa, using the monthly banked method, immediately after having used an agent, without depositing the 800K Baht.
Having used an agent, any money that was deposited by the agent, (on a temporary basis) wouldn’t have met the requirements for the OP’s previous extension of stay. 🤔
If this was the first time that you have gotten the 1 year extension, without using an agent, without having the 800K Baht in the bank, I’m surprised that you weren’t denied, due to not having the funds in the bank, for the durations required.🤔
I’m on the first year of a non-OA visa.
I thought that I could convert to a non-O visa, next year, based on having deposited a minimum of 65K Baht/month, but have been advised, on forums, that I won’t be able to do that.🤔
Yeah, I’ve noticed, particularly, many Russians, although, those that I’ve chatted to, were really pleasant. However, that was in the pub.😂🤣
I’m actually going to be living in rural Thailand. Very rural!! I’ll have holidays in tourist areas, but will limit the time; and be delighted to get back to the country.🤷🏻♂️
I seriously doubt that they will tax worldwide income, but I’ve been wrong before.😂🤣
Anyway, if it does happen, I’ll establish what my liabilities are; and then consider what to do.🤷🏻♂️🤔
I absolutely love Thailand; and want to live there. I definitely won’t be working, but I’ll definitely be spending, but I, like everyone else, needs to consider the excess costs, over, potentially, other SE Asian countries. I’ll be staying in SE Asia.
Anyway, I’m feeling positive about all this; and I don’t really need to be too concerned for about another year.
I’m simply going to enjoy my time in Thailand, however long that is going to be.😊
if Tim Shilling deposits his 50,000 Euros in a Thai bank, this year, he won’t be liable for potential income tax, unless he’s spent quite a bit of time in Thailand, this calendar year, already.
If he doesn’t spend at least 180 days in Thailand this calendar year, he won’t be considered a tax resident.
I didn’t watch anyone die from Covid, but I honestly believe that people were told that folks died of Covid, but actually died of something else.
It was reported daily, on TV, that people were declared to have died from Covid, if they had a positive test within the previous 28 days, no matter how they died. Eg fatal road traffic accident.
I have been told by folks, that their elderly parents were taken to hospital, with existing serious medical conditions, tested negative, died within hours and declared to have died of Covid.
I think the whole thing was a Psy Op , designed to frighten people and get them to comply with the restrictions. 🤷🏻♂️
