A few years ago, I hurt my back while traveling and had to use wheelchair service. It was great.

I was traveling Air Asia from Kunming, China to Don Muang, Bangkok with a one day layover and then on to Saigon, Vietnam.

The attendants brought me to the airline counters, security, immigration/customs, luggage pick up and taxi stand at three different countries….. It was quite helpful even though I was miserable. I didn’t even have to leave the wheelchair most of the time.

Also I was first onto the plane (and last off).

I have not had mobility problems before and I better understand what it’s like.

Don’t worry. The airline staff are super helpful especially in Thailand.

I applied two weeks ago. Got approved overnight.

TP site actually has links for insurance. It needs to cover the length of your stay. You should have the start date a few days before traveling in case you need to go earlier.

Yes you can pay with your country’s credit card. You will need to upload the cover page with the amount of the insurance and the dates covered.

It might be held to establish that she can travel abroad and then return home by visiting with her to other easier places like Japan, México, EU, etc.

She’s lucky to have a good solid sponsor.

But that’s certainly not what several of my foreign friends were quizzed about by the USA embassy when I tried to bring them over to visit.

What’s to keep the visitor from "jumping ship" and vanishing into USA?

It’s a challenge.

Basically USA wants to know that the visitor will go home afterwards.

She will need to have money in the bank, a car, a job, a home, a spouse, dependents and any thing else to make her want to return home quickly.

Unfortunately, most young Thai men and ladies don’t have this……
