TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is seeking clarity about flying back to Thailand from Holland, mentioning their long-term Dutch travel insurance. The conversation highlights current travel restrictions due to COVID-19, indicating that only specific groups, including work permit holders and potentially Thai spouses, may be able to enter Thailand. There is frustration about the lack of clear information from official sources, and participants suggest checking local embassy advice and reputable news sources like the Bangkok Post for updates.

If everything stays the same, KLM flies back from July
If you have been hired for work you must leave immediately once the contract ends
There was some doubt on married folk gaining entry but that seems to have been updated
My wife found that I’m eligibtle for entry as it stands and that’s even to study TEFL but all must have 100k usd/gbp covid insurance (edited as liubimtsev pointed out the error)
All the old rules still apply though for certain ages (over retirement) they’ve clamped down on the insurance you MUST HAVE another high cost and earnings/savings in the bank
I’ve been mentioning to people that the Far East is closing its borders due to global currency changes
Even the rules for tourists changed on my last trip and had to provide bank statements showing more money than most earn going in your account
There’s a few posts on this subject
Try doing a search at the home page of this group using covid entry to Thailand or
Entry to Thailand as a good starting point
You’ll soon see how many people actually know not much and I would recommend emailing your thai embassy where you are coming from
I emailed before my last application and got the latest information and helpful guidance for my application requirements

Bloody hell I wouldn’t ask this question here and nor would I advise anyone makes comment on this subject (edited thanks to durant)
Far too many experts about something they don’t know and if you do share something you do know then those experts only behave like childish dicks and make you feel even worse about the situation you are faced with
Oh and don’t mention your thai wife having some information from another source
You’ll only get ridiculed for that
Makes me wonder if most of this group has came over from the other group we all know is full of babyadults
oops must edit and add the important word “advise” after the I lol

Its not known yet, the government has proposed letting people who are married to thai nationals back in. Just have to wait and see.

Airports may open in July for business travellers, essential workers etc but the government is not clear about this.

I mean sure-- why would he want to come here with hundreds of instantaneous, topic focused potential responses when a generic, non-interactive option is readily at hand. Solid advice, you should start a media consulting service.

I totally understand this group's mods getting frustrated over this. the whole world knows tourist travel is off but not a day goes by we don't get people asking if and when they can come to Thailand. Why they think a FB group would know more than their local Embassy is beyond me
don;t the embassies publish the latest advice on their websites? Or are there no better places to get advice, the Bangkok Post maybe? I do take your point though
The purpose of this group is not for jokes you idiotic twat.
