So I'm guessing you are back in the UK how are you going to open.a bank account if broke.

Being married just means you can apply for a visa which enables you to stay in Thailand long term and renew yearly, if you fulfill the requirements laid out by immigration. Don't anything about houses or condos house in wife's name.

Why not use Wise do it all on your phone if eyesight ok or like me do on laptop. When you say Philippines bank acc do you mean go to a ATM here in Thailand.

It pretty simple 180 days here out of 365, money bought into country, get a tax number (TIN) submit a return. Get Thai bank statement for the procedding year front up. Many excemptions that can be claimed and Thailand has DTA with many countries. I myself 2 years now gone to Revenue both times very small amount to pay. Didn't even worry about DTA.
