Yeah same thing i'm doing now. I have been in Thailand since September 2016 on tourist visas, i got flagged after my 4th visa in Laos, they warned me that it was the last tourist visa i could ask. So now i am getting an ED visa through a school. Good luck!
Imagine i'm 30, i have investments abroad, not married, so the only thing i really have is cash to spend. This visa could be the perfect solution to stay in Thailand for years without problems
Because obviously this visa is intended for people with no intention of getting a job, that can afford the cost, and want to enjoy a long stay without hassles.
