thanks Tod … that is sound advice … I truly appreciate your help with this and will certainly take your advice on board ….. ie … no expectations from immigration etc ….I will contact immigration in New Year to initially inform them about situation and see where I land ….my visa runs out in mid February…. Is it correct to inform them early rather than last minute?

that sounds like the best option rather than having to leave ….it’s 6 days in total…. Would they show some tolerance for that time???

it’s based on 50 years …. So it sounds like I will need to leave and then enter exempt…. Stuart could you explain what ‘entering exempt’ means? I am Australian
