A lot if embassies stopped doing affidavits I didn't know his still did. It's not silly advice so chill out, I said what I would do. Also, it's nowhere near 36k bht and for something around 25k a lit of people do it just to make it easy until you learn more about it yourself

I would apply for a Non O in your country. Then when here use an agent for your 1 year extension, (a lot will put the money in and immediately withdraw it to get you visa). I used Manareet in soi post office and they are very good. Open a bank account ASAP and start depositing your money each month and next year you can do yourself using that monthly criteria.

you can only leave the country for a max of 90 days whatever you do or you have to start again. If you are going to leave the country more than a couple of times in a year then get a multi entry extension, if less then just pay at immigration before you go.

I think the police check is dependent on visa. One needs it the other doesn't. Non O does not need, non OA does (I think it's that way round).

is correct although in general flying in and out doesn't seem to be an issue to immigration staff unlike crossing land borders which are limited, although I can't work out the why they make a difference 😂
