yeah, it’s a smokescreen people saying their visas should be extended because they contribute so much. People just don’t want to go home and face the shit storm that’s happening there, unless they have an honest to God family here. At least be honest about it.
Exactly, China supplies 20 to 25% of the tours which includes long-term state visa holders into Thailand. The Chinese are going to be particularly Interesting in finding a safe haven - Thailand , to take refuge in because they know it’s only gonna be a matter of years before another virus is unleashed in their country. Having a home in Thailand in their back pocket will be a nice escape in the early days once this new virus starts to takeoff
I am waiting for proof which would be visual documentation of an individual’s elite visa stamp in his/her passport as well as his/her visa stamp on entry into Thailand. 500,000 baht is a lot of money to put out without a guarantee
for people who are just currently purchasing it, the elite visa company sent out a statement saying that it will have to negotiate with the thai government to get the new visa holders in ahead of tourist visas. Anybody who tells you otherwise, demand to see a document stating so from the company. At the current time new elite visa holders do not have any advantage, so you might want to consider waiting to purchase one until you can get a guarantee and proof
I agree with you. At This point in time, if you’re out of Thailand and buy a new elite visa, you have no guarantee it’s going to help get you back in sooner. That may change, but I think we need to separate wishful thinking from the current reality.
