TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thailand Elite Visa application timeline varies based on individual circumstances but generally ranges from 4 weeks to 2.5 months. Factors influencing this duration include the time taken for background checks, payment processing, and bank delays. Applicants have reported experiences ranging from a month for those with smooth transactions to up to 10 weeks for others experiencing delays. It’s advisable to have started the application process prior to the expiration of a current visa to avoid overstaying, and some applicants suggest obtaining a letter from their embassy for an extension while awaiting approval.

Are you of the believe that If you purchase an elite visa that will expedite your getting into Thailand?

My EPA told me they are inundated with applications from China, Hong Kong and India right now. I would say it is an expensive, high risk investment if you are considering it just as a way to gan entry to Thailand under the current restrictions
Exactly, China supplies 20 to 25% of the tours which includes long-term state visa holders into Thailand. The Chinese are going to be particularly Interesting in finding a safe haven - Thailand , to take refuge in because they know it’s only gonna be a matter of years before another virus is unleashed in their country. Having a home in Thailand in their back pocket will be a nice escape in the early days once this new virus starts to takeoff
thanks, do you happen to know how long the queue/how fast it moves? I was thinking about the Thai Elite visa but if the queue to get in Thailand takes a year it no longer makes sense
for people who are just currently purchasing it, the elite visa company sent out a statement saying that it will have to negotiate with the thai government to get the new visa holders in ahead of tourist visas. Anybody who tells you otherwise, demand to see a document stating so from the company. At the current time new elite visa holders do not have any advantage, so you might want to consider waiting to purchase one until you can get a guarantee and proof
Thanks, I haven't purchased it yet, I'm in the process of filling out the registration forms they sent me. I messaged them on their facebook page and they said we are allowed in and that Thai Airways will resume flights in October..
I am waiting for proof which would be visual documentation of an individual’s elite visa stamp in his/her passport as well as his/her visa stamp on entry into Thailand. 500,000 baht is a lot of money to put out without a guarantee

Now I'm wonder if they're just trying to get more sales
No additional benefits at the moment...they keep giving promises but never materialise.

It seems you are capable only of insulting people and incapable of reasoned debate. You are not by any chance related to Donald Trump, are you? It must be an angry, sad place in your little world of insecurity.
.. Are Astronauts sad and lonely? 200,000 miles a year...lol
🎵Come on Mr Astronaut give me a song🎵 Elton John must be your favourite 🤣
🎵"Rocket Man...its gonna be a long long time till touch down brings me home again"

I have been a member for three years and they have lived up to every promise they made to me. I find the service exceptional, especially the meet 'n greet at the airport, fast Track immigration, free BMW transfers to and from my home, and the free golf....worth every penny I paid. I did my first 90-day report in 13 years living here, last week, and they met me at the new Immigration building at Impact, escorted me to the Thailand Elite Fast Track desk at Immigration, and skipped the long line...in and out in 5 minutes...worth every penny.
...500,000 baht to be met at the airport and transport to your destination ...???
I would want to be met by the Roysl Family Limousine for that price...and fast track at the airport costs only 1,000 baht...You are being Ripped off and you can't even see it 🤣🤣🤣
Before Covid I was flying 200,000 miles a year, and getting great value from my Thailand Elite membership, as I live here, have done for 13 years.....the visa entitles me to stay in Thailand for 12 months at a time if I so choose. Other visas that required extensions did not suit me, so I am extremely happy with my investment, and I don't care one jot for your derisory comments. Value for money is relevant to how much of it one has, my dear.
...In general most people don't think the cost is worth the return especially for new members...I have a lot friends who say right now there is no justification spending all that money without guarantees.
I agree with you. At This point in time, if you’re out of Thailand and buy a new elite visa, you have no guarantee it’s going to help get you back in sooner. That may change, but I think we need to separate wishful thinking from the current reality.
Sadly he is a minority American 38% minority of Trumpstain ‘s he hates BLM so you know what that means!!!

It is for people who have the funds, are in Thailand and want to remain here. There are relatively few other options beyond volunteer, ed and retirement visas.
...it's for people who have more money than sense.

I asked for a bank account and drivers license and they set me up with appointments for that.

I just did the whole thing here. It took 3 weeks to get the background check done, then approved, took me a week to transfer money, they confirmed and I had my letter in 3 working days. I scheduled my visit at immagration 3 days after that.
You just need to have started the process prior to 26th. As long as it all goes through ok (ie you actually have money and obtain clearance) you won’t have any problems or need letter.
who knows.. i dont want to overstay and get problem in the future to get in thailand.. :-) but i will call tomorrow the hotline and ask if the have an idea, what i should do if the process need longer than the 26.09
the german embassy dont give letter, thats my problem.

Did the process in the spring. Took ~6 weeks. Lost some time due to stupid banks during the payment phase.
I'd suggest you talk with them directly.
