TLDR : Answer Summary
A member of the Thailand expat community is seeking assistance in locating information about her ex-boyfriend, David Kulik, who was arrested in Bangkok in 2018 for drug trafficking, allegedly involving hash oil. The user has expressed her concern for his well-being and is looking for ways to confirm if he is alive, suggestively wanting to connect with him or support him as a pen pal. Responses include suggestions to contact the embassy for foreign inmate records and to consider organizations that might provide assistance.

keep trying and be sure to provide your entire real name to the embassy so maybe can give you permission.

I was in a similar situation. The embassy said i needed his permission.

Then one day i got an e mail from my friend. (He was released after 15 years).

The embassy had clearly contacted him and given him my contact info.
