"if this agent has helped you bribe your way". Again, I am qualified and have the money, so no bribes necessary. Not everyone who wants to use an agent is trying to get away with something.

why would you just assume I want to do anything improper? I have 800,000 baht that will barely make a dent in my savings to transfer once the time is right. I'm 61 with no record. Everything will be above board. The 25,000 or probably less is worth not having the headache of doing it myself. Geesh.

Any overstay could get you banned if they want to push it, and as was mentioned above the elite visas require a zero history of overstays. Not sure about others. Just don't do it.
