I stock up on Lindt chocolate (here 100g costs more than 6 euros) and my fav coffee (Turkish). Thailand has lots of coffee to offer but locals prefer dark roast with a bitter taste, and if you like light roast, you need to pay extra all the time.

Overall, you can find almost everything here but the price for some things might be x3. If you have some foods you can't live without, you might want to bring them with you if you have enough space in your suitcase.

Just this year, there was a case of an online teacher from Myanmar who taught languages to other Myanmar citizens - fully remote. She was caught. There were also reports of Chinese nationals being arrested for online streaming, promoting, and selling products (products that were located in China) - again, targeting only a Chinese audience. Thai citizens werenโ€™t involved in any way. And yet ๐Ÿซฃ

In my opinion, itโ€™s really just a matter of luck and how much free time the local police have. Most of the time, they arenโ€™t particularly interested, I agree. But it wouldnโ€™t be accurate to say there have been no cases at all.

could you tell a bit more about it? ๐Ÿ˜ŠWhat gave you this impression? Who was the speaker? It's very interesting, and it might be a good thing to post in a group, not just in comments (if you have time, of course).

Medical route isn't very popular as it is, and no one here to my knowledge has reported a successful application with mental treatment. You could always try and email an embassy you are planning to apply to with this specific question (if this treatment would be accepted as a 'soft power').

Agents don't have any pull with the embassies abroad. Just prepare your documents carefully.

I had 2 ED visas myself and many of my classmates got their DTVs this year, with the same visa history as my own. Simply be careful with your application (avoid typos) and follow the guidelines for the _specific_ embassy.

Anonymous participant 357 yes, I agree with that but when in Rome...๐Ÿ˜…

I was in a similar situation when the landlord's agent didn't want to make TM30 for me after my reeentering ๐Ÿ˜… It took me a veeeery long time to make them to do it, I almost missed my queue in Immigration, and I kind of wish they would just have announced the price for the service from the beginning ๐Ÿ˜

Offer them 200-300thb for the service. I mean, it still will be cheaper than checking-in in the hostel just for the TM30๐Ÿ˜…

This is a matter of luck, honestly. No one could tell you how it is going to work out because even the people on ED visas are currently unsure about the future of their bank accounts. Unless the ED visa was issued for studying at a university, that is.
