I was wondering the same thing. I don't understand how countries just randomly stamp on passport anywhere they chose. Thailand has wasted so many spaces on mine and china stamps on my last page. Why don't they stamp in order of pages. I have ton of pages with one small stamp. Shouldn't there be an international standard for stamping pages
I have never heard anyone ask to show proof of money. I think it's more people from Cambodia and Malaysian and laos people. I have heard from a friend in Malaysia that they had to show money
you can do it yourself on year 2 . What's make it mandatory to using the agent. I did it myself on year 2 my first time after using agent. I used agent again after leaving for medical emergency but no need for second year if I don't want to.
that was the most thourough explanation ever.. but I would suggest for people that have huge savings or large 401k or in my case large CDs drawing 5 percent or more that it is smarter in the long run not to use the

0 method of holding up funds for almost a half year. Thai banks don't pay any real interest. Let your interest pay the agent and just Hassel free.. well worth the money to pay somebody that the money actually goes to support someone living and don't have to play the game and hope you some female on her period or dude hungover and wants to take it out on you. Rules are based on someone attitude of the day rather than a national standard like in Japan or Korea. Money is king in this country and it's what keeps the wheels greased
embassy doesn't even look it up. They didn't ask for no divorce papers and they didn't even give a shit. I was out of their in in less 5 minutes. He walked to computer and printed the form. Easiest money they ever made in a couple minutes.
