You've apparently never been to Thailand before. For your safety may I suggest using taxi's, driving a scooter/motorcycle is a death sentence in Thailand.
Here's a question for everyone, what is easier to "maintain" a marriage visa or a retirement visa? I understand the 800,000 baht for retirement which is easily doable, which one will I have less crap to deal with each year?
