the 800k must be untouched for 3 months after the application. Does that mean the balance must stay above 800k all the time, or that you are just not allowed to use the account?

If you need to apply in a small immigration office, it's very likely you'll always meet the same person doing your extension. Go to talk to them. Officially you visa ends on the day you graduate, but they might be not too strict about it. That said, the real issue is probably if you can change an education extension to a non-immigrant-O visa based on marriage.

Some decisions are traditionally made in BKK by higher officers. Communication takes time. It would be refused if the documents you provided are insufficient or false. But chances on refusal are very small because the officer receiving your documents will do a first check. You can usually call in for knowing about the status of your case. Your number is

. Just go on the first working day starting from your appointment date. Approval typically happens near the deadline. No reason to go early.

Having the father of my ex speak out for me helped me enormously. He and the immigration officer could find a solution for me. In cases like yours individual decisions of the officer are important.

@robert lagas It happened before corona, but I remembered it because the lady had to pay 800 for each person. And I believe she had 5 guests that needed other paperwork too. The officer said that someone needed to pay the fines in order to make the registration. And without registration she could not apply for the other paperwork.

Leon Fella They probably didn't believe her (that they just came to live with her).

Thank you. I asked because were I live reporting online is the safest option. Last time I went to report in person, there was a Thai home owner that wanted to report Cambodian workers that came to live in her house, but she was fined because the previously home or hotel owner failed to report. There was no record of these people in the system, and they were already a few months in Thailand. They wouldn't give her the necessary documents unless she paid for the fine caused by the previous home/hotel owner.

But I agree with you, it looks like a website written 3 days after the invention of the internet.

I got it to work, but the person at immigration asked for the slip, even after I told her the owner reported online. She showed me the classical paper slip you get when you report in person. I asked her: so there is a slip too when you report online? And she replied yes. I told her I had not seen such a slip and showed her a screenshot, which I kept on my mobile, which she accepted. Just want to be sure they don't bring up the "slip" again when I go to extend my visa.
