Do I need to return to show my bank balance after my retirement visa extension application?

The first time I applied for my retirement visa extension (I switched from marriage visa extension to retirement visa extension) they asked me to come back after a few months to show them that my bank balance had not dropped beyond the minimum. This time (the second time) they did not ask me to do such a thing. I am supposed to go back? If so, after how many months/days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When you apply for a retirement visa extension in Thailand, if the immigration office did not specify a requirement for you to return to show your bank balance, you do not need to go back. Previously, some immigration offices required applicants to provide proof that their bank balance did not drop below the threshold after a certain period, but this practice has been discontinued in many places. As long as you follow the seasoning requirements, which involve maintaining a balance of 800K baht for specified periods before and after the extension, you should be compliant.

okay, the way the seasoning of funds for banked money method on a retirement extension is this

the 800k baht has to be in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months BEFORE you apply for a yearly extension, it has to stay in the account for 3 months AFTER that extension is issued and then the balance can't go below 400K baht the rest of the year (until you take it back to 800K baht 2 months before the following year extension)

You said you never "seasoned the funds" but then you say it has been above 800K the whole time ๐Ÿ˜ฎ So whether you knew it or not you HAVE met the seasoning requirements ๐Ÿ˜›

Obviously if they didn't tell you to come back then you do not need to.

nope, if they don't ask you to return when you apply for the extension you don't go ๐Ÿ™‚

They were having people come back after 3 months to show the 800K baht was still in the account (to meet the changed seasoning requirements of 2 months before/3 months after) but most places discontinued it

If they didn't tell you to show up, you don't need to (BUT of course you still need to follow the seasoning requirements ๐Ÿ˜›as they will look at your year transaction detail print out NEXT year to see you kept the terms )

seasoning just means having the right amount of money for the right period of time. If your account is always over 800k you don't need to worry about it

Thank you. I have never seasoned the account, but it has always been way above 800K. Are you required to season the account if it is above 800K?
