Don-Laura Traub Both the Embassy in Vientiane and the Consulate in Savannakhet are next working day pick ups, ie, drop off Monday am and pick up Tuesday pm, drop off Friday am and pick up Monday pm, etc.

 Ive used Chong Sanagm regularly, for years lived 20k from the crossing. Half the family are Cambodian.

 Like I said Ive never had any problems using Thai Baht, crossing at Chong Sanagm or Chong Chom and down to Siem Reap.

Get the non imm O evisa before you arrive. Doesnt take up any pages. Half a page will do for the yearly extention of stay.

RTE in Vientiane or the Thai Consulate in Savannakhet are the only 2 places in Laos to get a Tourist visa.

 Thai Baht is widely accepted in Cambodia and can be used to purchase the VOA.
