Garrett Greenwald I think you're mistaken, you've never been able to transfer a visa, only an extention of stay, admitted to stay stamp and a re-entry permit

The OP would have to return to her home Country to apply for the OA visa, much easier to get the O visa in Thailand or a neighbouring Country.

There's no 2 months seasoning required for a non imm O visa, it's only required for the 1 year extention of stay.

Just show 800k and get the visa in a neighbouring country.

Wayne Roberts That's because of the exchange rate, they'd have to change the amount in AUD everday. It's the equivalent of 800,000 or 65,000 per month.
