no, you don’t. I played with it and I can apply from Hong Kong or Europe. There are probably more places.

I have and they are pretty much the same. The only difference I see is that in Saigon you need an appointment but in Hanoi you don’t.

in my experience at least, what it says and what you get can be two different things. For example, on my last transfer, it said it would take seconds. After completing it, it said a few days. It actually took longer than that.

if you’re over 50 and meet the financial requirements, you could convert your visa to a Non-O based on retirement.

Have transfer fees from USA to Thailand increased significantly?

I didn’t get the email but I did see something encouraging when reviewing my Bangkok Bank account. The last couple of transfers I made showed as international transfers and I didn’t even mark them “for long term stay in Thailand “.
