I can still enter Thailand on a Non-Immigrant O one year multiple entry visa since I am married to a Thai national and have a Thai son. I have been obtaining that visa for the past 10 years.
I think Thailand is losing a lot of residents out of all this. I have a Thai wife and son, or I would be gone permanently. No telling how long it will be before I return to see my Thai family. It is looking like I will have been away one year before trying to return, if then. 😕
, yes they are. I initially planned on waiting until next year to try and return, but I was hoping that there was a way to visit with my Thai family. I am on the list of those who can come to Thailand, but it would cost me over 7,000 US dollars right now. Too much money for me. 😕
Most countries that are open require a negative Covid test 72 hours before arrival. There are different restrictions for different countries. It is not looking good for travel anywhere in SE Asia. I will just have to wait.
Many countries have free voluntary testing and even drive through testing stations for the public. Have you seen any testing stations in Thailand? I haven't and that may be due to the fact that I live up country. The Thai people are not keen on voluntarily being tested for anything. There are also not many masks or social distancing in the country. I still think there are community cases in Thailand, they are just not being detected.
