I once flew from UK to Thailand and the airline did tell me , I can't board the plane cos I only had a single ticket.

Wheni informed them I lived in Thailand, boarding was allowed

Wow, that's a lot of chasing to change your visa over. I did mine here afew years ago. Like you say, different office different rules

I believe things have changed in the lat few years Kev and nowadays, you can get a Non O in Thailand
