My friend with experience in this situation said your son is a special VIP visitor who should book airport fast track service through a reputable visa agent. Cost: 2500-4000 THB.

Faster and cheaper than 'get a proper visa from Malaysia', or doing a land border entry. He also said that whoever bothers with a sob story with a 'return flight', 'proof of accommodation' and '20k THB in cash' is simply not appreciating the game.

Welcome (back) to Thailand.

Consider reapplying on basis of soft power (a few dentist appointments) and keep Thailand out of your professional situation. That will save you a lot of nosiness and headache.

Getting DTV with a single medical appointment seems preferable to voluntarily giving Thailand insight into your employment/business/income history, complete with a cucked letter saying the slave is 'allowed to work from remote'. Thanks for your Jakarta report and enjoy your 5 year visa!

Recently made a Malaysia border bounce with a visa agency, after 2.5 years of COVID amnesty + 12 COVID extensions.

The wheels were likely pre-greased, because all went swimmingly. 🐟

Tuna sandwiches were provided. Back home the same evening!

Same situation as
@M**
. I applied at Phuket Immigration over a week ago and my under consideration stamp says I should return on the last day of my current extension.

Website says "Application no. not found". 🤔

Same situation, also Phuket. It's confusing.

I went together with a friend and his visa expires a few days before mine. He received a "under consideration, return next week" date, but right below he already got the full extension, dated until the end of August.

Unclear what we will get on June 24, or whether my friend has to return at all.

Correct,
@T**
! That's also what I said to the office clerk on the phone.

I told him not to worry about it, and to forward my application to the actual immigration officer for processing. His concern was appreciated, but I found it strange that he wasn't aware of the COVID-19 extensions order expiring on Jan 29. Or maybe he knew more than us?

He suggested to withdraw my application and for me to come back in Feb... no thanks! 😅

@Wa**
: that's interesting, a request for 90 day report... that's only used for longer extensions. Same for re-entry permit. It looks they used the incorrect stamp for your extension.

Yeah, Phuket office will have a buzzy social day on Jan 29. I'll post an update in this group.
