Depends on the immigration office and the immigration officer (IO) you're standing in front of.

Many pay 2000B; others pay the highest price. Not something to gamble with. Just follow the law.

Wrong, as always that's up to the immigration officer. David was a great chap but never took Thai bureaucracy seriously. Life in the fast lane cost him his future.

I had a friend who stayed 96 days on his DTV and did NOT report. I don't have him anymore. Make of that what you wish, but I would say it's not worth the risk. Do it online.

Seems they are indeed cracking down on tourists who visit a lot.

But only those that don't pay for extra immigration services. Makes you wonder.
Ni**
Maybe, but it generates more revenue through the visa run industry under the guise of yet another crackdown. Luckily criminals can't afford these services so they will leave Thailand. Everyone happy!

Let's hope criminals don't have money for extra border runs and airport VIP deals!

For pet export, only a rabies antibody titer test is needed: just a blood test, no euthanasia. The challenge is Thailand's rabies-risk status, requiring the sample to be sent abroad and a 3-6 month wait before entry to some countries. Euthanasia is only required for rabies suspicion, like what happened to Peanut the squirrel and Fred the raccoon.
