for Medicare in the U.S. people paid into it the whole working life , why pay for another insurance in Thailand ?

Just remember 1.6 million baht for 2 people in a Thai bank, otherwise 130,000 baht for 2 monthly incomes into Thailand , that would be $4,200 a month, But I wouldn't recommend moving to Thailand if you don't have a family in Thailand , my brother in law just was diagnosed with cancer few months back and died last Sunday at age 73, he was surrounded by family and they took care of final expenses, who will take care of that so far away?
