your best bet is to start looking for a bank that will help you with the account as its very difficult for you to open your account in Thailand with the 30 days holiday, but you can also use a visa agent to help you with the bank account it will cost you about 5000thb to thb for them to help you, but would recommend that you try your self first, go to Bangkok bank they are the best

Unfortunately it's a NO YOU will have to have the 0thb in the bank account for the first year, even then you will have to speak to your immigration office to see if they will accept the thb per month after the end of your first year as I believe that some will not

It doesn't matter if you pay £100 or £1000 your lady will have to provide proof that she is coming back to Thailand after the holiday when she is at the interview in the embassy
