no need for him to have a copy of the tm30 on him, until he goes back to immigration, but it's his landlord who is responsible to ensure that they have done it even if its his girlfriend who owns the property or it's down to the owner

You are getting confused with the new rules for the tax residency ie if you have stayed in the country for 180 days you will be required to pay the government some taxes 😉 🙄 😀 🤣

Buy a low cost bus ticket to Cambodia from Thailand its not going to cost you a lot of money but you will be covered 😉
