The E-Visa can be a nightmare,after painstaking application,the timeline 10-15 days can take weeks withno provisions to check status,in process only info.phone calls -emails no response.

The E-Visa is frustrating based on every page of passport required etc etc,and when completed/submitted you can not track other than in process.No rersponse to emails-phonecalls get you in process do NOT call again,the 10-15 day process time turns into weeks and your departure day is coming sooner each passing day.I AM AGAIN AWAITING CONFIRMATION EMAIL OF VISA and down to my last few days,last year after noumeras call/emails called 72 hrs prior to departure and thank godness the lady checked and informed me it had bee approved for 3 weeks and was just sitting awaiting sending email VISA which she did.The Embassies and system requires much improvement OR give 90 - 180 days visa exempt to the appropriate countries and charge a fee upon enry.SIMPLE.

1 of many when applying for E-Visa online.Every page of passport-invite letter/etc.Also 10-15 days max for application approval.3-4 weeks and constant inquiries phone/email,No response.Some tourist on my last flight had departed without their E-Visa after applying weeks ahead.

The E/Visa can be nerve racking,applied 5-6 weeks ahead of departure and after numerous emails/phone calls (being told it’s in process do not call again/No response to emails.1 final call 3 days prior to departure,an Embassy employee was polite enough to say let me check for you,she came back on the phone and said it had been approved 3 weeks ago and was sitting in the email system and the person responsible had neglected to issue it.She said I’ve sent him an email of urgency and I finally received my Visa 48 hrs prior to departure.That is totally inexcusable.I have applied again for my next trip and hopefully the system will live up to its claim of ( 10 to 15 days MAXIMUM)On my flight last year,some travellers had NOT received their E-Visa at all after weeks.Not good enough.Things must improve.JMO.Any other tourist experience d the same frustration?

I will be returning with a new passport,I will have my old passport with my 1 yr extended visa plus re-entry stamp.It’s my understanding that I need to show both passports and ask the Immigration officer to enter the visa info into my new passport at his desk.Can anyone confirm this .Much appreciated

@John *******
John,I was referring to the stamps 1 year visa and 1 Re-entry stamp.

When entering with a new passport and your old passport has your 2 year visa and re-entry stamp,will the Immigration officer transfer the stamps to you new passport or do you have to go to Jiomtem Immigration.Thankyou
