In Canada (Thailand Embassy Ottawa)it is currently a nightmare,2 yr in a row, application sent and waiting 4_5 weeks no visa, having to cancel my original flights and rebook( costing $300-500 each time) This year receiving a phone call 3 days after my original departure date and asked when my departure date was,I was livid,I said you have had my application 5 weeks including flight details(The Embassy NEVER CALLS)This told me that they were just then starting to review my application. When I told them my flight had been cancelled due to no E-Visa,I was told Oh sorry you'll have to book another flight. Its just NOT ACCEPTABLE.The ineffective system has cost me $1200:00 Canadian Dollars- Baht 30.000. It is just not good enough.

Tod,my second yr experience with The E-Visa ,sent application over a month prior to departure and for the second yr in a row have had to cancel my flight due to awaiting E-Visa via email.Today (starting my 5th week waiting)I received and email AND a phone call from the Embassy (Canada) asking for documents already sent and when was my departure.I informed the lady that I had just the day before had to cancel my flight(due to no visa) and it had cost me Baht 10.000 again for the cancellation (same as last yr.The lady said sorry but we have just started to review/process your application today.Frustrated-annoyed-bewildered.Not a pleasant experience.Your thoughts .Regards.

The E-Visa is hit and miss nightmare.Second yr in a row after applying weeks ahead I have to rebook my flight.1yr application kept asking for documents already sent and when trying to confirm when I would be receiving the E-Visa via email/phone calls,no response from emails ,phone call’s response was it’s in process DO NOT CALL AGAIN.Also even though your visa clearly shows address of residence you are staying plus letter of invite ,one still has to do a TM30 ( WHY???)Just called Nov 27 two days prior to departure (Nov 29th)to inquire my visa status was told my Visa was in process and that Dec 1 it will have use the full application time allotted and I should receive via email. When requested could it not be sent that day(Nov 27)was informed no Rebook your flight.Just not good enough.Prior to Covid I would go to the Thailand Consulate in Toronto 11am drop off my (passport-application-flight itinerary-$ visa fee)I would then return 24 hrs later Visa completed Thanks very much.Consulate no closed also option of mailing passport to Ottawa Embbasy not allowed anymore. It’s jut not good enough.

I originally got my Visa at the consulate (Toronto Canada 🇨🇦)Drop off my passport/application/$fee.at 11 am and pick up next day 11am(24 hrs simple)When Covid arrived they closed the consulate and went to the online E-Visa.Last yr after weeks of waiting I finally received via email 30 hrs prior to departure. Some Canadians on my flight to Bangkok never even received their E-Visa.It’s so frustrating.

The E-Visa can be a nightmare, after painstaking application, the timeline 10-15 days can take weeks withno provisions to check status,in process only info.phone calls -emails no response.

The E-Visa is frustrating based on every page of passport required etc etc,and when completed/submitted you can not track other than in process. No rersponse to emails-phonecalls get you in process do NOT call again, the 10-15 day process time turns into weeks and your departure day is coming sooner each passing day.I AM AGAIN AWAITING CONFIRMATION EMAIL OF VISA and down to my last few days, last year after noumeras call/emails called 72 hrs prior to departure and thank godness the lady checked and informed me it had bee approved for 3 weeks and was just sitting awaiting sending email VISA which she did.The Embassies and system requires much improvement OR give 90 - 180 days visa exempt to the appropriate countries and charge a fee upon enry.SIMPLE.
