thought as much you would mention the 3 cafe's which are ok, Lins, Chez Boune & Makewell which is part of the Hoongthip Hotel where we stayed. The nightclub was not going to be our scene! The restaurant on river, the one opposite on side of river and the Sala down further on river were all empty, dirty and otherwise not worthy of review. Much as we tried we could not spend all our time in a cafe - as you say horses for courses

Thanks Tod, currently ME anyway so re=entry not issue. Would meeting & inspecting a Thai firms work require a work permit, I am sure we could get the Thai Company to sponsor the work permit if really necessary.

I follow this site to learn but even I know UK citizen can enter Thailand visa exempt for 30 days then Vietnam same visa exempt for 15 days then same again on re-entry into Thailand get another 30 days
