What? I was able to transfer 1.7 million baht into Krungsri without any problem a year ago. Transfer done using Swift

I will attempt to which method to 65k per month on my renewal this month.

I set up a Bangkok Bank account just to receive the monthly transfers last year.

The BB statements clearly label incoming international transfers.

I am told I need certified statements from the bank the day I am submitted the renewal. I am not sure if this is true or exactly what I need from the bank.

Reports from Wise are truly useless and as far as I can see do NOT reflect the ‘long stay in Thailand’ label we religious apply every month.

I will know if it works in about 2 weeks.

Assume you have checked and know you will also need medical cert, residence cert from immigration and photos

I transfer monthly to Bangkok Bank from Wise and the transactions are flagged as FTT ( foreign telegraph transaction ).

Start last April and will submit extension application nect month based on the 65k per month. Yet to see if it will work out.

I intend to submit bank verified statements for the tear in addition to the bank book and monthly pension documentation.

I also have the 800k sitting in a separate account in case this does to work

someone else mention SCB 40K per transfer limits above.

I have accounts with Bangkok Bank, Kashikorn and Krungsri. No such limitation. Transferred 85k two days ago.

For your 800k transfer you may need to do a SWIFT transfer.

The biometric face scan mentioned above is also correct.

generally you cannot open a bank account on a tourist visa. But if you apply and receive a non-o for retirement 90 days visa in country. Then you should be able to open the required bank account ( bring a passport with non-o visa in it and a second ID from you originating country)

Admittedly the banks can still be difficult and have their own unique rules.
