I see posts closed when one of the following is true,
1. The post is not Thai visa related. Often the mods/admins will still give an answer before closing the thread.
2. The OP's question has been answered and people ramble on about the topic resulting in no further useful information.
3. The question has been asked ad nauseam and a simple search of the forum could have found the answer faster than posting the question.
4. Something where a Google search could have been used to find the answer faster. Often in this case the mods/admins will answer the question anyway and then close the thread (for good reason).
It really sucks every immigration office makes up their own rules, or interprets the laws so differently. It would be so much better if the chief of the immigration division dictated to all the offices how the law should be interpreted and applied and every foreigner in the country has the same burden as every other. It should not be this game of immigration office roulette where some people get relatively lucky (such as in Bangkok) and others get screwed (such as in Samut Phrakan and Phuket).
Not the day of the visa. The reentry permit always expires on your stay until date. Visa is only permission to enter the country until the date on the visa.
Grant Gabler I always get a mutliple reentry permit when I get my annual extension of stay. Often I do not use it enough to cover the cost but it is much less stress having it if needed in an emergency situation then try to get at the airport. I just go do right after getting the extension of stay. Makes for a long day at immigration but I feel it is worth it in the long run.
