Tod Daniels thanks for that info! I was thinking to just fly in as its a similar price as flying to udon at times. Then bussing back out. Also a beer lao by the river is reason enough to spend and extra night there. Will give it a go next time 🙂
I just flew to udon and bussed it to Vientiane. Persoanlly i will be flying from now on. Messing around at the border is a pain in the ass. When when travelling with two people all the taxi fares start to add up!
I have realized after working in a hotel that many many people out there just do whatever they want. They don't care about the rules, they just do, what, they, want.
Then the look of surprise on there faces when you kick them out.
If you cant follow the immigration laws in another country then you should never leave your home country. Imagine how small the airport lines/immigration lines would be if everyone was organized and had there head screwed on.
