Had to do a 50 question theory test to get a Thai motorbike license (have a full UK car license but no motorbike license). Some online practice before and passed easily. Fortunately, I didn’t have to watch 4 hours of theory videos as I held a UK car license. It has saved thousands of baht in police stops in 3 months
Paying rent, purchasing a vehicle, convenience of every day spending, the list really goes on. If I want to buy a car for 200,000 baht, should I get cash out of cash out of the ATM 10 times over 10 days and pay 2200 baht and have a huge liability carrying that much cash? Many dealerships charge 3% on visa/mastercard transfers. Should I pay 6,000 baht extra? Just because you didn’t need a Thai bank account for a month stay, doesn’t mean other people don’t.
