When completing applications, say in UK, for most things they ask for proof of where you live. We used bank statements or utility bills. If. Generally not asking for a physical GPS location.

But if you were applying for something like a visa, when not in your home country then I'd expect you'd have something to show where you are: your hotel booking or entry stamp perhaps.

Unless you're not in a place you usually live?

Something with your address. Same sort of thing as you'd use at home when asked for proof.

Now to find someone in Phuket to help. At least it seems change of reason for extension from extension of married to retirement, is possible.
