Is there a charge for a Non Immigrant O Visa? I'm on the Thai embassy website and it looks as though it's £150.

Or is that the cost of an annual extension.

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The cost of a Non-Immigrant O Visa can vary depending on the embassy and specifics of the application. One user mentioned that the fee listed as £150 may be for administrative purposes at the UK Thai embassy and likely refers to a retirement visa application. Another clarified that a 90-day Non-O retirement visa typically costs around £60. Additionally, extensions within Thailand generally carry a fee of 1,900 Thai Baht. It's essential to confirm the exact fees and requirements directly with the embassy or official sources.

I understand now that he was looking at a page on the RTE London website for Visa prices which does list Non-O multi-entry long after they stopped issuing them when eVisa went live

A few days ago I warned people in several FB groups that the London Embassy website is not up-to-date
Paul *******
My information is that the £150 fee is the cost for admin at your Thai embassy ( UK )

For processing of your non o retirement visa application

This is the e visa website hope this is helpful ☺️

@Graham *****
single entry non o visa is £60 and multiple entry is £150
Graham ******
@Paul ******
but they no longer sell the multi-entry although they still have the price listed

@Paul ******
You can't get a multi entry Non Imm O visa in London. The Non Imm OA visa is £150, if I'm not mistaken
Paul *******
I think this is still applicable

@Paul ******
your link shows september 2022! And multiple entries non-o stopped november 2023 as far as I recall
Steve *******
@Paul ******
You need to check the evisa application site, the multi entry Non Imm O visa is no longer available
Steve *******
@Paul ******
They haven't updated the website. You can only get the OA visa. The multi entry Non Imm O visa is no longer available in London

- yes, that's the page I was looking at but I didn't register the 'multiple entries' part. I won't be needing multiple entries. Thank You.

- great question. I realise that I wasn't specific enough so thank you for getting me to clarify.

I'm a British citizen looking to retire to Thailand, and so the Visa I'm looking at is a Retirement Non Immigrant O Visa. I've been visiting a few times, am putting figures together. I would apply for it in the UK, online I guess?

So the question was: is there a charge for the first time and then for a renewal whilst in Thailand?
Lynnette *******
@Caroline ******
I've already got a bank account to put the money in. So I was advised to arrive exempt, get the Non O in country then extend on retirement basis.

Yep, that's what I'm going to do.

The application to the 1-year extension of stay permit out of a 90-days Non-imm-O visa can only be had inside Thailand on Immigration (not in the E-visa system) and it will cost a fee of 1900.- Thai Baht
Nongnuch ********
I think you took a wrong turn. The fee for a Non-Imm-o 90-days retirement visa is GBP 60 . . . if it shows 150 GBP, you are probably applying for the multi re-entry 6-months tourist visa
Graham ******
@Nongnuch *******
£60 for a Non-O (marriage) in November
Nongnuch ********
@Graham *****
thanks for the clarification. I am not fluent on the fees of different embassies
Jack ********
@Nongnuch *******
then why post?
Nongnuch ********
@Jack *******
because I know for sure the 150 GBP was definitely NOT the fee for a Non-Imm-O visa. It indicates he choose another visa type, obviously the multi entry 6-months tourist visa
Jack ********
@Nongnuch *******
so just telling people they are wrong but you don’t know the correct answer?
Nongnuch ********
@Jack *******
I just gave her the correct answer 16 hours ago! She had a wrong start. She didn't find the visa she intended to apply for. The Non-O Retirement visa is 60 GBP, not 150 GBP
Jack ********
@Nongnuch *******
he didn’t apply for anything she was just asking a question

That's the visa price. Extensions are always 1900 baht in-country

All visa have an application fee. It's set by the embassy you're applying through.
