this is my guess also. They're all on the (baksheesh) payroll up there with visa companies from Chonburi that I know of (24 hour minivan + visa stamp return) instead of the old Cambodian border. If they refuse us entry, they know word gets back, forcing our hand. Obviously as previously mentioned, flights are the safest option and even then, its suggested to stay 1 night atleast? They freeze it. You go into the branch that you opened account at, produce all documents required. They tell you that your account will be ok again in 7 days time. It will still be locked. You go back into the same branch. They will close your account infront of you and hand you your balance/cash. DTV is a problem. No other bank will touch you because of the DTV.
