Did you try offering financial incentive? Thats what they usually want when they encounter 'an unexpected problem'.... Anyway its not worth the effort anyway, no real benefit... And speaking from experience.

Does the TM30 have an expiration date if I never leave Thailand?

I think its down to office your using? I never left, but after leaving the province they said I had to tm30 again, when i was doing a 90 day in the pattaya office?? Which was something I've never read or heard of before?? I think sometimes they just make it up as they go along...

my friend was always particularly smug about not needing residence cert... But then when tried to renew his licence they refused to do without a certificate.. 555
