I had exactly your situation (except for the pregnancy part!). Rejected in Washington, DC, because I could only show 2, not 3 months of 500,000 baht. Once I had the three months, I went to Vientiane, Laos and was approved within a week for workcation (I’m a freelancer). Search this group for Vientiane, Laos, and you’ll find my original post with details about what I included, plus lots of other helpful posts.

This happened to me. I applied for the workcation DTV from Washington, DC, however since I had 2 months, not 3 months of 500,000 baht, I was offered the METV. Since that not what I wanted, I wrote a letter declining the visa and cancelling my application. Then I reapplied from Vientiane, Laos once I had the 3 months of finances, and was approved in less than a week.
