If you are applying for a Non-O multi entry from the UK. You need to use this Royal Thai Embassy online portal.
****************************
There is no Police check.
There is no Health Insurance requirement
After approval you can come on a one way ticket as well.
What do you need for the online portal?:
Photo copy of your passport. Saved in a JPEG format.
Two passport photos.
A bank statement no older than 3 months
Marriage certificate UK or Thai no need for translation.
There is no need to send original documents to the embassy any longer. Just the photo copies and two photos. My wife owns a blue book and 8 full land titles. So I photo copied them and sent them as well.
I sent the copies to the Embassy next day delivery and included a prepaid return envelope for my visa. My wife wrote a letter in Thai explaining we were relocating back to Thailand permanently. I filled out the online application in 30 minutes on the Sunday checked and submitted. Posted on a Monday. Approved Wednesday and Visa in had by the Friday.
I found the whole experience very easy and the Royal Thai Embassy staff were so helpful. Been here now 3 years with my wife and daughter. Best thing ever coming to Thailand. I know we are only guests here but what an honour to live here.
You can get an emergency passport from the Royal Thai Embassy in the US or wherever you are. Don't enter on a UK passport. The Embassy is so helpful. Just explain your relocating back home.
I did the same thing for my half Thai daughter. I contacted the Embassy in London emailed a photo and they produced my daughters birth certificate and passport in under 7 days. This meant when we entered Thailand my wife and daughter entered has Thai.
As a Thai national you can bring home up to 40 boxes any size tax free. This is part of the repatriation Government rules. You need your Thai passport for this. Bring all the goods back as domestic goods. This is a massive saving. We paid under 1,000 USD for the forty boxes delivered door to door.
I wish you good luck. It's all very easy when you follow the rules.
if you contact the Royal Thai Embassy directly email at the bottom and explain to them your personal situation they will help up. I did this myself in 2020 in the height of the Wuhan. The Consular were so helpful and got us out of Europe. I cannot speak highly enough of the people in the Royal Thai Embassy.
If you come here on the 30 day I can see you losing 3 days of your holiday at Immigration unless you employ an agent.
Brandon Thurkettle you miss my point. They are from the EU so they can apply online for a visa before they travel. The online portal is so easy. Unlike spending a day at Immigration. Plus filling forms in and getting paperwork. Total nightmare. Not all countries can use the online application portal.
You are from the EU so you should be able to apply online for a 60 days before you come here. If not you can extend when you are here and spend a lot of time filling the paperwork in or get an agent which is expensive for three days.
