Had one for years and it was good.

China was fantastic to use.

Basically 21 country access for up to 90 days.

Asia pacific was the original setup.

USA and Canada are coming on.

Ten years validity now.

It was $200.

When I was with Ford Australia I introduced the card to all our key travellers.

It saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in visa fees.

Criteria for application was a significant amount of travel.

Financial benefits to the member countries.

Had to occupy a position in the company or provide a letter to warrant the issue.

It's still available for anyone interested.

Hard to say because of the e passport control in place now, Thai people walk through the e gates.

UK and Australian e passports don't work on their system yet.

Much like the UK.

My Aussie passport doesn't work there.

Come to think of it, my UK one doesn't work there either, last time. lol. 🤔

When i was working here and had an APEC card..

They used to rush to open up a separate gate... Happy days, they were.

So was the original poster.

I asked a very distinguished looking officer if we could go through together.

Response was she had to use the Thai e gate.

I had to join the rest of the people in the usual section.

I was on O with retirement extension and multiple re entry permit.

He looked at it, smiled politely and sent her one way, and me to the usual section.

Went through two weeks ago and we were split up.

My Thai wife had to go through the e gate and I queued up 25 minutes in the normal section waiting for the usual people who don't fill tm6 forms in correctly.

Several in Pattaya will do it.

Even the 90 day report without actually going to Jomtien.

400 baht and two signatures.

Kasikorn too.

I obtained residency certificate in Nangrong from police station 50 baht.

Used same for DLT and drivers license on a TR visa.

The visa was multiple entries.

Up to three months duration.😁

So you could wangle 15 months theoretically.

Last, enter month 12 and do a last three months.

My gf says she's not surprised that some get denied.

They walk in semi dressed and the tattoos showing.

Badges of trade.

Looking like they just stepped out of soi Cowboy.

Its funny to hear them yak about in Thai

My lady says.

How you know? How you know?

I do threetimes now.

No problems.

I'm not being judgemental.

But the visa office staff certainly can be.

If the gf walks in showing 3 yards of bosom, g banger, and maybe 30,000 baht of body art...

Not helping the case is it?

This is a list i put together last time.

(Early December)

Put it all in a nice little plastic wallet with pockets A4.

The lady went through and.

Not need.

Not need.

Ok.

Letter good.

We had a laugh.

I commented on her good English.

She say come back 5 to 7 days to collect.

But.

They now deliver back to you so you dont need that return pickup trip.

Plus they do the biometrics at the first drop off meeting.

All of ten minutes at Trendy building.

BTW.

You can upload online the documents now i read.

Plus some contries qualify for the E visa. Only $20...

I apologise for this not being strictly Thailand visa stuff, but it does affect many of us...

If it rejects or denies there is normally a reason lurking in the background on thier systems...

So well worth talking to your partner and asking her/he, is there anything.?

Good luck.
