I came back visa exempt 30 days as I'm applying for the Non O for marriage, I got tomorrow for that actually. So no, didn't go to the Thai consulate there just in and out, I have been and got visa from the Thai consulate there in the past and was pretty straight forward, I have a friend there now actually applying for her Non B

And yes, Thai pass I did before I left Thailand

If you're thinking of going to Cambodia, you can inbox me if you like, as I have a write up someone did of all the steps to take which will be helpful, I went to Cambodia on 2nd Jan and came back 5th Jan so I was only there 3 days, I basically did everything the same as on this write up and it all went smoothly

In that case you go through a school, but that process is likely to take longer than basically paying a bribe with an agent. Personally I would steer clear of agents, once you go down that route you put yourself instantly at risk.

Is the visa going to be for legit purposes or are you just looking to get this visa to stay longer?

to be honest I have gotten a few visas from the Thai embassy in cambodia and it was where I got my Non B visa, but the only do the 3 month Non B and not the yearly Non B, its just quite easy to get to Cambodia ATM but it will obviously be better to have more options and if malaysia opens then for sure it's best to go and get your visa in Penang, that is generally the best one to go to

I would chase them up as quickly as you can, as if you plan to go to Cambodia like most others are doing you need to get on with booking your fights asap imo. I went over new year and my flight was full and now they aren't giving covid extensions to people with non immigrant visa, all those people are going to be heading to Cambodia now and over the next month or so. Definitely a good idea to get the flights sorted now or asap if that's your plan 👍

Might be better for you to get the non B issued from a Thai embassy in the country you're going to go too, just in case your employer isn't helpful. I think you need to make sure with them first that they're prepared to help you out with it, it not then you can get it from an embassy.
