Kuala Lumpur Thai Embassy requires an online appointment to be scheduled first. No walk-in service. Also, if this destination is chosen, use GRAB taxi app, otherwise you will be subjected to scam after scam. Also, pay for your hotel in cash on arrival as they do not issue deposit refunds on credit cards. It happened to me twice there. The 12Fly hotel is one to stay away from.

That's not true. I opened an account without any paperwork from the embassy. Just needed to fill out the irs tax form

You are awesome! One last question about the 40,000 baht per month income. Will they take my employers work permit as sufficient proof or do I need to show some deposits in a Thai bank Account? The reason why I am asking this is because I am unable to open the thai bank account without the work permit according to BLK bank and I am under the impression that the work permit won't be valid until immigration processes and approved my visa extension?

The only issue I faced getting married in Thailand was the immigration process to bring my wife back to my home country. If we just stayed engaged, the immigration process would have been easier. Because I got married in Thailand, I had to submit tons of documentation from her friends and family here to prove that our marriage was real. That turned out to be a major headache as we needed every paper translated and so forth and so on. Not sure where you are from, but of you are planning on bringing your spouse to your country, you may want to check on the process in your home country. Just an fyi
