that echoes my experience for sure. It’s a lesson in, “going with the flow” I think. But I’d still like to do things myself and be independent of an agency. Maybe my imagination but I hear lots of people favouring other SE Asian countries as retirement options? I can understand this too.

yeah I think so. I’d really like to not use an agency and take responsibility for this myself. My talks with immigration leave me feeling confused and lost. Maybe that’s intentional? Sorry if I’m coming across cynical but today really brought me down. Tomorrow is a new day. My life is good.
