The problem you may face, is if they request additional documents, or if they request an interview at any point during the application process.

I have heard and seen of people being asked to open their banking app, to show they still have the money in the bank. Though this seemed a little extreme, you run the risk of being denied. My advice, delay paying those expenses (as silly as it sounds) until the visa application is approved.

Technically (though I’m unsure if they enforce) working (even remotely for overseas companies or clients) whilst on a tourist visa, is not permitted.
