How many nights should I book a hotel when applying for a Thai DTV in a foreign country?

I would do 2 weeks to be on the safe side. My husband and I went to Vietnam for 3 weeks and he got his a little over a week and then I did mine and I did not get it until the day we were leaving. I thought we were going to have to push our trip out. Give yourself more time so you don't have to stress at the last minute.

Do I need to visit the Thai Embassy in Ho Chi Minh after applying for a DTV visa online from Vietnam?

We applied for the DTV in Vietnam and it was all online. They may request for you to come but I have not heard of that happening. No matter what you turn in on the initial application they seem to always request more. I tried turning in extra to start with and they ended up still requesting for it.

I paid cash at our condo but the villa we are in now only does bank transfer and we do international transfer. Our bank has a low fee 120 baht

Wise has stopped working in the US. Wise is probably the issue not the bank.
