Now you have a visa? And, opening a bank account in Thailand as tourist was not illegal. In some countries, foreigners can open accounts as tourist. Thai bank regulated this recently. Bangkok bank is the last to regulate this.

Did you actually have transactions from your bank account or to your bank account? any in and out? it is often or very rare? and how much do you have in your thai bank account? it depends, but normally if there is few only left in the account, or very rare transactions, the bank does not care of this.

one of the reasons of why Thailand closed the accounts for DTV or tourists is, some of them on DTV or Tourism, sold it to the scam gangs. They just left Thailand and no need to have this accounts any more. So they just sold it with high price. They do not care of their accounts and scammers used this nicely. yes some of those on DTV or Tourism. But for long term visa holders, who mostly reside in Thailand or make Thailand as home, of course, they really care for their accounts. They must pay bills and rentals, everyday foods and essentials and drinking too.. They must care for their account. That is why they are upset when their accounts were frozen. i was also very upset and this made life hard in Thailand.

yes agreed. even though I have long term visa but my account was frozen twice. Maybe frozen again soon. Frozen and unfrozen and frozen and unfrozen again and again, this may be new life order in Thailand.

yes but noone is wrong. Everyone makes mistakes and everyone can forget something. We can not say anyone is wrong. Anyway, he in this post must take responsibility of this. Not you or me or anyone else here. There is nothing wrong with him. He just need to find the way out. That is all. Not reporting of 90 days is not a serious crime. Just file it and take some fines if needed. that is all.
