if you do not extend the stay with non O visa, which has only 90 days valid, your non O visa is also expired? and you need it new again if you want it non o visa in future???
yes depending on the immigration officer. But, I think yes. it can be problem. immigration officer are trained and educated when they started to work as immigration job as others do almost the same for their jobs. Their process of finding suspecting someone is just normal as normal people can think. For example, you are in 20 or 30s.. and from USA. Normal people in this age have jobs and works regularly. Maybe once a year to visit Thailand for vacation is very normal and stay for few weeks is normal too. But three times a year visited Thailand? They surely can ask, do you work? if yes, where to work? what company?? and what job? How much salaries?? Normal people in age 20.30 can not make such long and often holidays from the company? That is actually not normal. If you work remotely? you do not have to go to company every day? yes, then DTV is an option. or if you are so rich? early retired? yes why not? LTV or elite visa are the options for you. If you are over 50? and retired? and visit often Thailand? stay long there? yes, retirement visa is an option too. If your company is so generous and does not care how often you are off or on, and pays well regularly. And you also have enough budge to enjoy in thailand. Just show your budget and bank statements with good explanations. then, you will have no problem. It is not so normal but just unique case.
yes right. But as long as I see, there is no clear boundary between legal and illegal. It is legal but tomorrow it will be illegal. it was illegal but today legal but tomorrow illegal again like this. And, legal means what is lawful or not clearly illegal too. And also illegal but death law. there are laws that are already dead. no enforcement and no practicing possible. no feasibility at all.. like this.. an example is, in public, you should not take off your shirts. But there are many without cover everywhere. Actually this is illegal but no one cares. It is not possible to enforce. and sometimes when too hot or too much sweating, it is recommended to take off clothes a while to cool down outside. yes, but officially this is illegal too according to the law. it is but, up to the Thai government. If they want enforcement, yes they can at any time. Well, life isnt go nicely.
Thailand gives a new homework every day for all foreign visitors to Thailand! now all foreigners must check if the hotel or any provides TM 30 in time. And not yet, after check in, investigate carefully if the tm 30 is right one in time. and stamp check, date check and also, visit immigration to double check and triple confirm. Thailand is really good teacher! π
condo the same! The law in Thailand makes shits all. Why tenants pay fine for TM30 that the tenants have nothing to do with. If the law allows tenants to punch the owners face to force him to make tm 30, then acceptable! π
Airbnb is legal, but only for short term. no more than 30 nights I think. Not all airbnb is illegal in Thailand. If you stay in Airbnb for 20 days or 22 days or so, that is totally legal. But if anyone has unlicensed hotel business, not registered or fake registered, they surely reject TM30. But how can you know that???? You call the police to check if they are truly licensed to give you a room?? or call the immigration? if you want, you can do this to check. But I rather not do this. π€£ Maybe, All tourists must check first and ensure all is legal before you come to Thailand. This may be mandatory soon in Thailand for all foreigners. π
Actually it is not hard. but someone can make it harder. they can do this. Whoever can do this. especially to foreigners. We do not know why. but why is not important in that case. Just follow or give up. only two options we have. For example, in my case before, an officer asked me my bank statements from other country. no problem. I got it and showed it. the officer refused. The reason? because the bank statement of my bank is not the right form they need. My bank is one of biggest bank in that country. And all banks in the world followed international standards. The form of the bank statement is not right, so they denied. I asked my bank if they can change the form of the bank statement. My bank said what????? so stupid question I had. Then, I just gave up. πbanks or any government officers who have over power can make someones case harder. This is really true. I believed there is one rule that works everywhere. But it is not. Sometimes, someone can make things harder or mostly not possible. this is the fact I know and must accept. No one knows.
