I have a DTV. When I entered Thailand, I wasn't asked for an outbound flight ticket, neither in Thailand nor in my home country (from where I left).

I mainly used cash. And yes, those ATM fees can quickly add up.

Personally, I would prefer to withdraw money for several months in one operation. Therefore, your option is definitely better.

I would like more details.

So, I just have to go inside the bank, give my passport, my credit card (from my home country) and that's all?

How is the bank able to withdraw my money? Is it like doing an international transfer?
