I would apply in Taiwan or Singapore I can’t remember which embassy there is way more lax when it comes to getting approved. Also I’ll be applying for the DTV soon but I’m wondering if all of the embassy’s require 3 months of 500k baht proof or if it’s like 1 month.
I’ve done both visa exempt and with Visa. I was once pulled aside recently my last visit on visa exempt and they asked for onward ticket and I showed them my onward ticket and they let me go.
I’ve done this 3 times now applying with an evisa and an onward ticket and have had no issues at all. Just make sure you activate the ticket within 24-48 hours of your arrival and don’t forget TDAC.
Just buy a $15 onward ticket to anywhere before your arrival and just have your Cambodia ticket read after you extend simple as that. I do it all the time.
I’m in Vietnam right now but I’ll just hop on a plane ticket to whatever country I need if I don’t have to wait hehe. I think Singapore or Taiwan one if those you don’t have to wait. I’ll do more research on that
right but on the website it says you need 3 months of proof of 500k Thai baht equivalent. It says that regardless of what Embassy I’m close to. I’m not sure if that makes sense or not. Not sure if I’m missing something. I know when DTV first came out people could turn in their application directly at an embassy. But now no more.
so from what I was thinking is the only way to apply is through online no more at embassy. On the official website it says 3 months of proof but not sure if that means if I can apply on the 3rd month
But if I can still apply through embassy I would for sure apply at the one where I don’t have to wait 3 months.
Can anyone confirm if the only way to apply is through the official online Thai immigration page?
