What city are you? Or do you want to stay in? I can recommend some school I know aren’t scamming

In the Muay Thai scene it’s usually not recommended to get an ED visa through a MT gym.

You have to pay for a years classes upfront and gyms often change or are not as good as they appear to be on social media. You don’t want to end up stuck at a rubbish gym for a year.

What most people do is get a ED visa for Thai language school and take 2-3 classes per week, but still enjoy the freedom to go to which ever MT gym they want.

This was before the DTV. Now everyone is applying for the DTV instead of ED.. unless of course they don’t have the necessary funds.

you have to apply from outside of Thailand, each consulate has different requirements but they are all quite easy to meet. Might be easiest to do in your home country before leaving 👍

the DTV cost is 20k THB (approx 550 USD 550 EUR) and yes you can keep the funds in your home country brokerage. The exact requirements differ slightly depending on which Thai consulate you are applying from

Also the best option right now isn’t the standard Muay Thai education visa - it’s the destination Thailand visa (DTV) as long as you have proof of funds of 500k THB you can get a 5 year visa

How long are you staying in Thailand for? If it’s less than six months you probably won’t need a visa depending on which country from?
